Oil and lubricants supplier Atlas Oil is encouraging fleet operators, transport companies, and heavy-duty equipment users to upgrade to Shell Rimula R4 L 15W-40 CK-4 – a next-generation engine oil that is “redefining performance, protection and profitability in the commercial sector”.

Engine reliability and operational efficiency are crucial to businesses across transport, logistics, construction and agriculture, Atlas Oil notes, adding that one of the factors that directly impacts both is engine lubrication. Further, “outdated oils are no longer enough for modern demands”.

Shell Rimula R4 L 15W-40 CK-4 represents a “significant advancement in lubricant technology”, says Atlas Oil marketing manager Natalie Smith.

“It’s engineered for today’s high-performance diesel engines while remaining compatible with older ones, making it the smart, cost-effective choice for any fleet.”

Key benefits include extended oil life through superior oxidation resistance which enables longer drain intervals, reducing downtime and maintenance costs; and “exceptional” wear protection that is reportedly better than previous oil categories, thereby ensuring cleaner engines and prolonged engine life.

Another benefit is environmental compliance, as the oil helps to protect modern emissions control systems, reduces harmful emissions and enhances fuel efficiency. Finally, the product is designed for South African conditions as its durable 15W-40 formulation performs reliably in high temperatures, heavy loads and harsh terrain.

Atlas Oil supports its customers with local stock availability, technical expertise, and oil analysis services to ensure businesses gain maximum value from their oil investment.

“Upgrading to Shell Rimula R4 L 15W-40 CK-4 is more than a maintenance decision – it’s a strategic move to reduce costs, boost reliability, and improve long-term performance,” the company adds.
